Inside of that folder create a new folder and give it a name Player Animations.Īnd inside of that folder create two more folders and name them Player 1 Animations and Player 2 Animations. Now that we have the sprite sheets, in the Project tab create a new folder and give it a name Animations. If you don’t know how to do it, you can follow this tutorial that will show you step by step how to slice a sprite sheet in Unity by clicking here. Select it and make sure that you slice all individual pieces of that sprite sheet. ![]() You may also use the search bar and type Rigidbody 2D instead. ![]() Scroll down until you find Physics 2D and then, select Rigidbody 2D. Select your Player, go to the Inspector and click Add Component. Now, let’s begin by adding Rigidbody 2D to our player. You can locate their sprite sheet in the Assets -> Sprites folder. We want to control our player with little programming possible. To edit this data, create a new empty Animation Clip in Unity (see Creating a new Animation Clip), then select, copy and paste the Animation. In other cases, the animations may exist in a separate file from the object to be animated. In this game we will be able to choose between two playable characters.
